Care tips for long-lasting cooking pleasure
Before first use!
Before first use, clean pans and pots with warm water and a little washing-up liquid and boil once with clear water - and you're ready to go!
Up to 300°C in 3 minutes
Please note that our products reach a temperature of 300° after approx. 3 minutes. Induction cookware has an even shorter heat-up time, so please reduce the temperature to medium heat in good time.
Save energy
Always use a hob with a diameter corresponding to the base of the product to save energy.
Important with a gas hob
The diameter of the flame should never be larger than the base of the pan. The gas flame should not come into contact with the coated outer wall, as there is a risk of the coating peeling off and overheating.
Never heat when empty!
Add some oil or your food to the cookware in good time. Permanent exposure to heat without food will destroy the coating. This can result in visible brown discoloration or even detachment of the coating.
Reduce the heat
After searing, a medium heat setting is sufficient; by reducing the heat, you prevent burning and preserve the full flavor of your food.
The right fat or oil
Choose a fat or oil for your preparation that can withstand the desired frying temperature. Diet fats and margarine and most cold-pressed oils are generally not suitable for frying.
Fat fire: how to react correctly
If the fat or oil used ignites, please do not extinguish it with water. In this case, use a lid or fire blanket or a foam fire extinguisher.
Simple and effective
A soft dishcloth, warm water and a drop of washing-up liquid are all you need to protect your cookware.
Be careful with dishwasher tabs
Although dishwasher-safe, we recommend washing by hand, as many dishwasher tabs contain protein solvents that attack the coating.
Gentle on the coating
Please do not use abrasive cleaners, oven cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the non-stick coating.
