German hand casting
The original Gerti Gundel pans, pots and roasters are cast by hand from a high-quality, pre-refined aluminum alloy using the original gravity die casting process in a German factory. The 9 mm thick, stress-free cast base makes warping impossible. This is why we offer a 30-year guarantee on the flatness of the base.
Rapid heating and optimum energy utilization are further advantages.

Excellent heat conductivity
The hand-cast aluminum ensures a flat base and optimum heat distribution, as well as excellent heat conductivity. This saves you energy and money! Conventional stainless steel and cast iron products (with the same base thickness) take considerably longer to heat up. Thinner bases (less than 8 mm) can easily warp, resulting in poorer heat absorption and high energy loss.
